La Paloma Sabanera in Hartford, Connecticut hosted a reading of Michelle Otero's book. They raised $158.
Carol Scholl of Portland, Oregon hosted a party at her house and raised $225.

Writer Alicia Gaspar de Alba - who donates part of her proceeds for her Desert Blood book to groups in Juarez; a total of $1200 was recently divided between Casa Amiga, Nuestras Hijas de Regresso a Casa and Justicia para Nuestras Hijas; each group received $400.
Thanks to the Teatro Paraquas and El Museo Cultural de Santa Fe for the wonderful benefit production of Frida K. Thanks to the Director Oscar Rodriquez, Actress Karen Paramandam and Andrea Lujan, Artistic Director Argos MacCallum and the stage crew. They raised $730 for groups in Juarez and Chihuahua. Thanks to Gloria Montero, author of Frida K, a wonderful play about Frida Kahlo, who contributed her play production fee of $321.44 to us. This work provides new insight into the personality of Frida. Ms. Monero also donated her royalty to Amigos.

Lannan Foundation for their support of the Justice for Women Symposium at NMSU. The photo exhibit and a series of planning meetings was sponsored by them as well as travel expenses for many of the participants. We are very grateful.

The Dry River Community Center of Tuscon

Lynne Middle School, Las Cruces, NM and the Title I Students and Teachers, Lisa Weinbaum, Lousie von Tress, Holly Haworth, Jessica Blanchard and Becky Anaya. These teachers engaged their students in reading and learning about the murders. Many of their students demonstrated maturity and caring beyond that of most Middle School students. They read and wrote about the murders and other issues on the border. They pubished a book of stories. letters and poems which you can buy from Amigos. Also read poems and learn more about the project at Lynne Middle School.
Raza Womyn of CU Boulder raised $330 for Amigos. This group is very involved and participated in hosting other events in the past. Thanks.
Lorena Mares, Nancy Eaton, Mary Gates and Diana Washington Valdes for contributions that enabled a Mothers Day festival for some of the families in Juarez.
Heather, Rachel and the awesome student artists at NMSU who raised around $1800 for Amigos at their benefit. We also thank White Raven Gallery for hosting as well as those who played music and read poetry.

Frontera Focused Women's Foundation for funding the Stop Femicide project, a prevention program for both sides of the border.Monica Oritz and the UTEP Women's Studies Department - For working very hard to put together the first conference focusing on the scapegoats and the use of torture by the Mexican authorities in the cases.
Heather Bradley and the NMSU Art Students - Heather Bradley approched us a few months ago with the idea of putting together an art show and benefit for Amgios. She and many others worked very hard and did a great job. The benfit was wonderful, the music and poetry was great and they raised $1500.
White Raven Gallery - for hosting an Art benefit for Amgios. What a wonderful space. Thanks for your generosity.
The Cast and Crew of the Vagina Monologues - Once again presented to full houses. A wonderful production by local talent. In addition, the cast helped paint pins to sell at the event - which brought in another $300.
Juarez Activism Group of Amherst College for their donation of $100.
Frontera Focused Women's Foundation for providing funds for Paso del Norte Human Rights Center in Juarez to continue their work with victims of human trafficking.
Rickie Townsend of Sacramento, California has been especially helpful to Amigos in arranging events, selling pins and publicizing the struggle of the families who are seeking justice.

Key Clubs - Las Cruces High School and Mayfield High School - these wonderful high school students collected change ($700 worth) in a competition between the schools. The Las Cruces High School Key club won (Go Bulldawgs) and chose to donate the winnings to Amigos. Thanks to all of you.
